Job Description:
. Support portal stabilization and optimization efforts through evaluation of current system design and proposal of achievable solutions which address high data volume and complex presentation storage requirements
. Design, develop, and implement enhancements for the functionality of existing custom software (including web / user interfaces); to support transformation activities consistent with industry best practices.
. Design, develop, and implement new custom software and enhance the functionality of existing custom software through the use of high level programming languages and object oriented design methodologies
. Map current high level and detailed system requirements to core services and capabilities, ensuring design supports proposed core system functionality
. Participate in design and source code peer reviews

Principle Software Engineer /Senior Computer Scientist to support performance stabilization efforts.
Candidates must demonstrate principle level knowledge and experience resolving performance issues in complex systems with high data volume and complex presentation requirements.

Specific skills/ required
. Experience transitioning equivalent feature set capabilities from stand alone system design to distributed architecture.
. Must possess excellent knowledge of Java and J2EE development. Experience utilizing tools such as BEA's WebLogic or JBoss application servers.
. Knowledge of C++ or Perl programming languages helpful, as is knowledge of the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment and Java Server Faces and other presentation layer development tools.
