Description
Software Engineers (SE) are responsible for producing quality code that meets the requirements and specifications put forth by the Development team. The SE performs systems analysis and programming activities, including new product development, enhancements, bug verification, and maintenance of existing modules.

The SE also works with a Lead Developer or Architect to contribute to designs for projects. Given a set of development tasks, they must accurately estimate development effort, produce and maintain the code, unit test it, and follow -up with any defects that are detected.

The position of Software Engineer is reserved for those individuals who that have a formal engineering or computer science degree as well as on-the-job experience and training.

. Proven ability to meet deadlines
. An understanding of the developmental process
. An understanding of business issues
