General Summary:

Autodesk Revit is the CAD system that is revolutionizing the construction industry. It is a next generation, interactive, 3D, graphical application for designing buildings. Join a strong team of software engineers who design, develop, and enhance Autodesk Revit.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

â?¢ Articulate product requirements, in cooperation with Product Management and Documentation.
â?¢ Develop detailed designs from requirements.
â?¢ Realize designs in code.
â?¢ Devise automated test cases.
â?¢ Investigate, fix defects.
â?¢ Estimate development schedules.

Requirements:

â?¢ BS/MS (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Math, or Physics.
â?¢ 1-2 years of programming experience in C/C++.
â?¢ Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
â?¢ Ability to reason rigorously and explain solutions precisely.
â?¢ Ability to work well in a team environment.
â?¢ Ability to learn quickly a large body of existing code.
â?¢ Excellent skills in algorithms, manipulation of complex data structures, design of C++ classes.

Focused Duties and Requirements:

Join a team that principally develops and maintains:

â?¢ Multi-user collaborative aspects of Revit, including conflict avoidance and project merge with proper change propagation.
â?¢ Persistent storage.
â?¢ Memory management.
â?¢ Undo/Redo operations.

Desired Knowledge/Skills:

Prior familiarity with any of the following is useful, but not essential:

â?¢ Programming and debugging with Microsoft Visual Studio.
â?¢ Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
â?¢ Windows compound storage files.
â?¢ C++ Standard Template Library (STL).
â?¢ Advanced uses of C++ templates (such as traits-based programming, typelists).
â?¢ Lossless compression algorithms (especially zlib).
