Description
Software Engineer
. Develop and document Microsoft Windows application programs within defined standards, procedures and guidelines.
. Maintain existing applications developed in Microsoft Visual C++, as well as, support the addition of new features in the existing architecture as required.
. Support embedded applications development team by creating utilities and development tools.
. Must be self motivated with the ability to work with little definition and/or supervision, as well as within a team environment.
. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
. Budget time and provide accurate estimates for completion of projects
. A strong drive for quality along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
. Follow through on deadlines that you establish. Adhere to software engineering processes

The successful candidate will have the following skills and technical knowledge:

. BS in Computer Science or related field.
. 2-5 years of Software development experience in Windows environment
. Strong knowledge of C++ and Object Oriented Programming.
. Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and debugging skills.
. Expertise with Microsoft Visual Studio and MFC.
. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
. Experience with software development methodologies, standards, configuration management tools, and production controls.
. Experience with Merant/PVCS a plus.
. Experience developing serial communications packages a plus..
. Understanding of SAE RP1210A, J1708, and J1939 communications standards a plus.
. Understanding of ASP/ASP.NET a plus.
. Understanding of SQL server a plus.df-tc
