Description
The Software Engineering Architect will lead the software design process with broad responsibilities for the performance and architecture for Enterprise Workstation Hardware and Software. This position will develop the software technical architecture for the business initiatives and will be responsible for developing plans to implement this technical design with a 3-5 year strategic plan or target in mind. Under the general direction of the Distributed Systems Manager, the SEA position will work with the business unit to understand business/technical requirements and to apply a methodology, which translates these requirements into a workable architecture and a set of implementation plans. This includes software evaluation, selection, configuration and deployment of fast and fail-safe solutions into client's environment. Critical skills include broad technical knowledge across the Microsoft software portfolio, knowledge of Microsoft legacy environments, writing and presentation skills, problem solving skills, group leadership skills, project management skills, technical design experience and, because technology changes can happen quickly, flexibility in new strategic deployments.
