Position Summary
The Software Engineering Manager will be reporting to the Director of Product Management and will manage and provide technical guidance to the QA, Tech Producers and Flash developers. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of new systems, features and enhancements as well as integration with new and existing systems. This includes requirements gathering, design and implementation.

The Software Engineering Manager must be familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure the International projects are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. This requires excellent written and verbal skills as this position will be working closely with clients, developers, QA testers, and other stakeholders in multiple countries. The Engineering Manager 1, SWE must have experience developing server-side applications to support front-end interfaces, templated content management systems, and interactive Flash games. Development environment requires adherence to engineering QA practices including configuration management, source control, unit testing, integration testing, and documentation of code.

Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years minimum experience in software development plus 3 years management experience
  • Familiarity with Lingo, Action Script, Java, servlets, Macromedia and web applications
  • Strong analysis and design skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to clearly communicate project status (progress, task estimations and risks)
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to work closely with International customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions

    Specific Skills Required
  • Significant experience in the development of functional specifications, design documents and architectural specifications
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, and PHP.
  • Experience packaging installers using Wise and other implementations a plus.
  • Experience managing customer relationships for projects of various sizes, from large-scale enterprise systems to ongoing small-scale maintenance and support.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to guide and mentor technical team
  • Experience managing a team of tech producers and flash developersdf-tc
