Overview
Will direct software research, product development, quality assurance, documentation, and packaging functions in the software department. Will direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.

? Define and develop project plans, assign team resources and ensure that projects are developed on schedule. This must be done in an environment with time-sensitive projects and changing priorities. Special emphasis is required in the accurate estimation of project durations and the management of schedules to achieve project end-date goals.
? Lead the architectural aspects of the software design. Ensure the technical integrity of the design so that it is secure, scalable, extensible, reliable, and efficient. Review the designs of the team to ensure that the goals are met. Act as a technical mentor to the team.
? Insure that all design and programming standards are defined and followed by all developers, including unit testing, system and integration testing, and performance testing. Ensure that the code is adequately documented.
? Place special emphasis on quality and planning for the roll-out of new software. Deal with technical issues as they arise promptly and effectively.
? Work with Operations to ensure smooth roll-outs of new and updated software as well as troubleshoot issues that arise with software in production.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Requires:
? B.S. Computer Science or similar.
? 10+ years overall experience in Software Development.
? 7 years management experience.
? Experience with C/C++, Java, Unix.
? A complete understanding of and extensive experience in Object-Oriented design and development.
? Experience developing, implementing and enforcing software department methodologies and policies to ensure high quality software.
? Experience managing multiple teams and multiple projects in the design, development, installation or maintenance of software. Must be able to prioritize tasks and assign resources effectively.
? Experience with testing for large-scale deployments including unit testing, integration and system testing, performance testing.

Compensation: $100-110,000 + bonus

ADVISORY: Local candidates preferred. Company will not pay for interview or relocation expenses.
