Description
The client will hire either direct or temp to perm, this is negotiable with the candidate. Wanted: strong C# and .NET skills, someone who can easily conceptualize a distributed computing environment. In addition, someone who can do C++ and embedded machine control programming. SQL database skills are also required, from the viewpoint of integrating the database into an application that is very data archive-oriented. The candidate must be a very intelligent and self-motivated individual who is focused on getting a job done despite obstacles or lack of support. The candidate must be fluent in English, and be an excellent written and oral communicator. One of the two candidates being sought must be a project leader who can take some of the load from existing leadership. This would include making product management as well as project management decisions, managing the bug tracking and prioritization process, and reporting project status. The other candidate should be a team based contributor who prefers not to be project manager but who possesses the skills noted above. DESCRIPTION: Provide design and development services to support new projects relating to inserter system software. Provide project leadership and project status reporting to management. Essential Job Functions: Work both independently and with other members of Engineering, Manufacturing and Service to create new system features, improve ease of manufacturing of systems, and improve reliability. Support Manufacturing and Service, as well as Technical writing, by responding to requests for information. Maintain and produce documentation such as source code, script files, external and internal documentation, functional specifications, etc. Plan work for project team members. Produce project status reports and schedules for current software projects. Contribute to the work process planning function. Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements: C#, .NET and VC++ under Windows Operating Systems. Familiar with user interface design. Experience with Windows CE desired. Familiar with SQL database applications. Good debugging skills. Embedded machine control applications experience required. Ability to use Microsoft Office and other common computer applications under Windows operating systems. Software QA experience desired. Supervisory Responsibility (for Project Leader/Manager): Direct a team of Software Engineers to perform project work in the correct sequence and according to the established schedule. Contribute to performance reviews. Working Conditions: Work will be divided between an office environment and the shop floor. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a BSCE and 5 year related experience. Success Factors: Good communication skills. Self-starter who can work independently. Project administration skills. Work group leadership skills. Ability to maintain project on schedule.df-tc
