Description
SOFTWARE PRODUCT MANAGER; Payroll We are seeking a product manager to provide leadership during all phases of development for the payroll products within our employee relationship management solutions. You will be responsible for understanding payroll compliance and cross-industry payroll requirements. You will also be responsible for providing translation of the payroll compliance and payroll requirements into product features for a team of engineers.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Product Champion:
? Serves as the product & market expert within engineering to drive implementation decisions, work cross-product dependencies and assure the product meets business drivers identified.
? Becomes a champion for common suite wide approaches to solve business problems at hand.

2. Product Development:
? Defines features of the product, and develops written, prioritized Product Requirements which include detailed business use cases to guide engineering.
? Works directly with the external or internal Kronos customers to adequately analyze and document business requirements and needs.
? Organize and leads customer advisory boards for gathering data for initial product requirements as well as ongoing trade-off decisions through out product development life cycle ? Support engineering in resolving functional questions throughout the development effort.
? Support beta program by collecting and responding to product functionality issues ? Communicates critical project or product issues with recommended course of action to management, as they become known.

3. Product Release:
Lead cross-functional team ? consisting of Development, SQA, Documentation, Training, Service, Marketing and Sales to ensure whole product readiness ? Prepare and present whole product readiness to all levels of organization at key phase milestones through out development process culminating with release readiness presentation ? Supports marketing & sales by participating in sales situations as needed for pre-release software, enterprise prospect or early adopters.

Proven ability to gather broad suite wide requirements organize them under specific headlines and prioritize accordingly. Knowledge in specific requirements gathering and prioritization methodology such as ?Voice of the Customer? beneficial.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Established ability to communicate with all levels of an organization both in writing, by presentation and software demonstration.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, expertly managing time constraints in order to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to work with all types of people at all levels of the organization ? engineering, marketing, finance, sales, corporate management, etc.

Ability to travel including but not limited to travel to customer sites for appropriate primary customer / product research.

Education and/or Experience:
BS degree in Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline; or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 - 5 years related work experience in product management, or with sales / service management with in the human capital management industry. Prior experience with in the Human Resources or Employee Relationship Management space preferred. Previous experience with Kronos products and/or HR/Payroll applications is beneficial. Up to 20% travel required.
