Job Summary: Under supervision, carries out procedures and supports acceptance integration testing to ensure that information systems, products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Thoroughly schedules, tests and analyze batch software results, to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Configures and supports reliable, structured, manageable user acceptance application test environments and systems that meet our customers' operational service expectations and business objectives for testing in-house developed and packaged business applications. Responds quickly and effectively to client inquiries and requests concerning test environment capabilities and functions, and devotes immediate attention to resolve issues associated with testing efforts.

Under supervision, performs system/problem analysis associated with applications development and user acceptance test workloads encompassing both on-going production support and project work. Maintains, and administers environment test data for various transaction code types.

Documents and works to resolve basic problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Performs work flow analysis. Recomends, documents and communicates quality improvements including OLA’s and Standards.

Job Responsibilities:
1. User Acceptance Testing: Support test execution of the operational, environmental and compatibility aspects of software application testing. Employ current standards and practices to implement operations procedures for use by appropriate staff.

2. Testing support: Support testing processes incorporating all aspects of the testing process ' requirements management, planning, scheduling, test executions, issue management and project status analysis. Collaborate with testers, developers and business analysts, to ensure traceability throughout the testing cycle. Provide for test execution batch cycles by scheduling and running test automatically ' unattended, even overnight. Maintain a repository for issues and create an accurate audit trail for analysis.


3. Change Management & Version Control: Develop new and support current Change Management and Version Control disciplines, methodologies, processes and tools. Communicate upcoming workload and project status to customers and team members and use current standards and practices to manage implementation of deliverables through batch testing.

4. Problem Management: Work with team members to aid in troubleshooting and issue resolution for application development and testing efforts. Utilize tracking tools to ensure proper communication and record-keeping.

5. Project Management: Record project work, production support, and administrative activities using a project management tools.

6. Release Management: Support automated build and release processes for multiple client server operating environments, programming languages, integrated test environments and configuration management systems. Maintain a reliable, repeatable process that ensures that the application is built and released correctly reducing delays to project schedules and preventing build-related regressions allowing development and QA teams to move quickly through testing cycles.

7. Doumentation and Communication: Aid in creation and maintenance of SLA’s, Standards documents and other team documentation. Aid in maintaining a diverse team website, with current and factual information.


Minimum Qualifications:
1. BS/BA degree in related field such as Information Systems, quality assurance technical certification, or equivalent work experience.

2. Working technical knowledge encompassing the following technologies:
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Visio
Client/Server-based and Browser-based Applications - ( preferably Trizetto Facets
Change Management & Version Control Tools ' preferably Serena ChangeMan Dimensions )
Understanding Batch jobs - preferably would include some type of scheduling software

3. 6 months to 1 year of industry-related experience – including process documentation
4. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving and logical thinking skills
5. Team player who exhibits effective interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
6. Customer service experience
Batch scheduling software – preferably autosys


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Formal training in testing disciplines and methodologies
2. Broad understanding of Health Care industry
3. Configuration Management training (i.e. ITIL, SCI-CMM, CMII)
4. Exposure to large-scale system implementations ' preferably claims & medical management solutions
5. Technical nice to haves:
Project Management Tools ' preferably PlanView
Relational Databases knowledge ' SQLServer,
Knowledge of XML
Client OS ' NT, W2K, XP
Network OS ' NT, W2K, Windows 2003 Server
Remote Access ' Dialup, Citrix, Internetdf-tc
