UPP Business Systems, a national Information Technology consulting firm boasting more than 200 employees working at client sites all across the nation, is now seeking a:Software Quality Assurance Analyst to participate with the Management Systems Group Test Center (MTC). The Candidate will work with a project team leader, be involved in test planning and preparation, generating test cases and scripts, reporting upon and coordinating test activities. Candidate will also be responsible for execution of test scripts, recording results in a defect tracking tool, providing general mentoring on sound testing practices. The Candidate must be a team player and work well with other IT professionals in a project environment. The Candidate should possess good communications skills and be able to deal with customers of Information Technology department within the business. REQUIRED GENERAL SKILLS: Interpersonal/facilitation skills for interaction with development and support staff and customer areas of the company, Four or more years of IT experience, Two solid years experience as a test analyst, Solid experience developing test plans/strategies, test cases, and test scripts, Solid experience testing as part of a testing team, Solid experience working as the sole test analyst on fluid, dynamic projects, Experience working more than one project at a time, Experience planning and estimating testing duration and effort, Experience as a Business Analyst, Demonstrated experience working with projects lasting longer than six months, Demonstrated experience working with projects lasting less than two weeks, Excellent verbal and written communications skills, Strong team orientation, Comfortable using standard procedures and methodology, Writing skills for technical and non-technical documents, Computer Science or related college degree preferred. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: Recent solid testing experience in a Windows/Web-enabled environment, Recent solid testing experience in client-server rich client applications, Possess a thorough understanding of development and testing methodologies, Experience testing in an iterative development environment, Experience using the test tools Mercury and/or Rational testing tools for test management, requirements traceability, defect tracking, Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries, Experience with Oracle, SQL-Server, Access, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and also Visio and Project. PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: CSTE and/or CQA certifications preferred, Experience testing SAP applications, Experience testing outsourced development, Experience with use cases (RUP experience preferred), Background in applications development, Knowledge of tools for creating test data, Experience with load and stress testing, Experience with Mercury WinRunner, Mercury QTP 6.5, Rational ROBOT, RadView, Experience using TOAD for querying Oracle databases, Experience in WebSphere/Java runtime environments.
