SMARTSOURCE is currently searching for a SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST for a contract to hire assignment in Addison, Texas

Job type: contract to hire =09
Location: Addison, Texas
Salary: $70k upon hire



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for design, publishing, and implementation of software assurance test plans for unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing, developing software quality assurance standards, writing and maintaining test automation and test data, defining and tracking of quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Designs, develops, and executes test plans, test strategies, test scripts, test cases and test data to be used during the testing of projects. =09
2. Complements the efforts of the Software Engineering Team including system and integration testing, functional and user acceptance testing.

3 Works closely with the business analysis function to ensure QA testing requirements are
appropriately identified and included in the requirements.

4 Designs and coordinates the implementation and availability of the QA test environments and ensures compatibility of QA test and production environments.

5 Develops automated testing utilities to assist in the rapid yet thorough testing of software engineering products. =09
6 Provides scope, resource and time estimates for projects presented to QA for testing and
analysis to manager.

7.Coordinates the implementation of software onto production environments.

8. Performs additional duties as requested.

POSITION PREFERENCES:

1. Degree in computer science or MIS.
2. Minimum four to six years experience in software quality assurance software testing procedures, documentation procedures and technical specifications writing procedures.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to conduct professional contacts and training with individuals of varying levels of authority.
