Description
Robert Half Technology's client, a developer of financial software solutions, is looking for a Software QA Engineer. Using our innovative software for creating and analyzing interactive financial data, corporations are able to optimize their traditional accounting processes to comply with standards-based reporting regulations that are on the horizon. Responsibilities: • Create standards for the development of test plans, test cases and test scripts • Implement metrics and risk analysis to identify and address quality risks• Develop and execute tests for unit, acceptance, integration, system, regression and performance testing• Analyze system features and functionality and determine the best approach and techniques to test (black box, white box, stress/load, data integrity, security, automation)• Develop and enforce compliance to testing standards • Participate in software design reviews, functional and technical specification reviews, and architecture reviews to ensure that test plans meet quality expectations• Work closely with the development and program management teams throughout the entire product development life cycle to ensure the product meets user and quality requirements and is shipped on schedule

Experience/Skills
Requirements:• 5+ years experience testing web-based and/or windows applications • Experience with formal SDLC• Experience with test automation • Knowledge in the use of MS SQL • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite• Experience with security vulnerability testing and remediation Helpful Experience:• Experience testing .NET Applications • Experience in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment• Experience with TestComplete (test automation tool by AutomatedQA)• Domain expertise in accounting and finance• Experience with data warehouses/design, OLAP, BI, SQL, XML and related technology• MS/BS in Computer Science or related field preferred • Experience with agile development methodology• Familiarity with SharePoint and workflow concepts
