Description
Manage quality engineering team of 10+ working on the Adobe Premiere Pro application. As these projects are complex in nature, considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. This position will require interfacing with people at many levels, including off-site teams and customers. Specific responsibilities include: team development and personnel management; collaborative work with Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, User Interface, Localization and Technical Support teams; conducting research for specific projects; tracking feature development; managing a bug tracking system; defining and verifying developmental milestones; implementing and/or updating QE processes, plans and tools; developing and managing team budget; managing Video lab.


Knowledge & Skills:

Requires a minimum of five years management experience and at least five years of experience working in QE on a PC based shrink-wrapped product. Experience with hardware and software used in the video production environment is required. Strong knowledge of video technologies (DV, MPEG, HD, etc) is required. Strong preference for a candidate experienced with Adobe Premiere. In depth knowledge of PC's and the Windows OS needed. Experience developing automated testing is preferred. Independent decision making and problem solving skills is a must. Demonstrated ability to work across organizational and geographical boundaries. A professional demeanor and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment is a must. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential Resilient under pressure, high energy levels and positive attitude are crucial. Preferred: BA or equivalent experience.
