Ciphent Inc. is seeking full-time Software Security Consultants to work in support of our Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and Austin, TX offices. Successful candidates will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and meaningful experience with numerous programming languages. Travel to client sites is required.

Experience/Skills
Required Technical Skills:
- At least 2+ years of significant experience providing information security consulting services
- At least 2+ years of significant experience with software development
- Demonstrated proficiency working with major software development platforms
- Familiarity with compiled languages
- Familiarity with interpreted languages
- Strong foundational knowledge of security principles
- Working knowledge of compliance and security standards
- Application security experience desired but not required
- Ability to work with varying technologies, platforms and operating environments
- Desire and ability to adapt to new languages and coding standards

Other Requirements:
- Undergraduate 4-year Degree in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems/Software Engineering or Equivalent Industry Experience
- CISSP/GIAC preferred but not required
- Experience with understanding and soliciting requirements through conversations with non-technical customers and employees
- Superior work ethic
- Strong research and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to work productively both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask among short- and long-term projects
- Strong fluency in the English language
