Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for selling software and services in new and existing accounts, marketing new software products and gaining design win opportunities, while balancing the interests of the customer and the organization. Establishes long-term business relationships with both customers and key partners.

Essential Job Duties:

Collaborates with a team of highly motivated employees committed to achieving the success of our business. Sets a personal example of leadership.
Identifies, qualifies, and closes software product and services sales in new and existing accounts.
Makes daily contacts and weekly sales calls with assigned geography and key accounts. Ensure appropriate software clothing on all hardware transactions.
Manages and grows MSI as primary vendor under the Passport Advantage program.
Keeps abreast of changes/updates, competitive offerings, in assigned software product lines and trends within the market place through training and other sources.
Coordinates with Consultants for technical support as required. Assists inside sales personnel with quotes and expediting orders. Leverages IBM and partner resources throughout sales cycle.
Follows up with sales orders and assists with resolving discrepancies.
Establishes key processes involving marketing, sales, opportunity development, backlog and client satisfaction management. Achieve revenue and gross margin objectives, measured quarterly.
Coordinates with geographic Websphere Solutions architect and services a team to develop and architect a solution to meet the requirements of client's business/web based requirements.
Reviews services in proposals, jointly with sales team to ensure profit margins are achieved.
Prices the solution profitable and lead / participate in the negotiation on terms and conditions with the client.
May perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an applicable field preferred and/or equivalent experience within a technology-based environment.
At least 4-6 years experience selling $1 Million IBM Software Solution Sales - IBM database software, and IBM WebSphere software..
Met or exceeded sales quotas for 3 consecutive years.
Experience successfully working a complex sales cycle.
Ability to identify product and services opportunities and effectively articulate and sell MSI Services offerings to the client.
Ability to manage multiple sales transactions.
Skills in financial analysis and "cost of computing" calculation.
Ability to travel 40-50% as required.
Ability to multi-task and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, along with positive, professional, and friendly communication skills are a must.
Ability to work well as a team member.
Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, etc.).df-tc
