Job description

As a Software Support Engineer you will assist our customers with using our software products. This includes giving training on and assistance with our SDK to develop video management applications. Furthermore, you will assist customers with Optelecom-NKF’s video management software and video storage solutions. You support customer both remotely via email and telephone, and on-site. You are flexible, pragmatic and customer-friendly.

 

 

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related area
  • Several years of relevant working experience, preferably involving customer contact
  • Excellent knowledge of C++, C# and VB
  • Thorough knowledge of the Windows platform
  • Capable of independently writing code that meets the standards of performance, robustness, maintainability and testability
  • Experience in developing multi-threaded applications
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with streaming video (MPEG-2/4, DirectShow) is an advantage
  • Experience with UML is an advantage
