This COMPANY is a privately held non-profit, with over 70 employees, who are currently serving over 29,000 seniors and persons with disabilities throughout the south bay. This agency has created a unique Internet based service portal for social workers, providers, and other agency administrators throughout California. This one of a kind portal offers an integrated solution in the areas of practice management; electronic care plans and service records. COMPANY is currently seeking a professional and energetic Software Support Specialist.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Social Work, Training, or Technical Customer Service to grow into a more consulting related role but still utilize past experience. The Software Support Specialist works directly with the users to provide first Tier technical support and help define work processes. (S)he also assists the site IT administrators with configuration of the software and serves as the technical point of contact between COMPANY and our third party software vendors. This is a growth position with tremendous opportunity to learn new skills and gain a variety of new experience.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support for all California Area Agency staff.
Contribute to the design, development and implementation of processes and reports, using third party vendor software.
Help users customize users need, including editing of current settings.
Occasionally perform on-site workflow analysis.
Create custom SQL scripts for users.
Perform administration over site for members on Citrix based servers.
Work with web administration tools for company intranet.
Monitor user access on user access through Citrix server tools.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience:

8+ years experience in end user software support preferred
Understanding of the general operations of a social workers duties in serving seniors, a plus.
Polished, friendly, and professional demeanor
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to clearly present both technical and non-technical information effectively to diverse audiences
Experience in multiple learning delivery methods a plus.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
SQL/Database experience required.
Citrix Knowledge, a plus
Web development experience, a plus.
Additional Skills, a plus:
Scripting Language - PHP, CSS, XHTML, XML, AJAX and JavaScript
