We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Software Systems Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team implementing web-based software applications. This position is located in Washington, DC (near Metro) supporting a large government customer's e-Business initiatives. Join our team of technical professionals developing innovative business solutions.

This position requires 7+ years of industry experience and 3+ years specific experience in architecting, deploying, and maintaining n-tier applications (J2EE, Weblogic, and Oracle AS) in an enterprise multiplatform environment.

Technology Requirements:
* Expert knowledge of: J2EE platform in an Enterprise Environment; Weblogic; and Oracle AS.
* Knowledge of: Oracle and MS SQL in an Enterprise Clustered Environment
* Experience in MS Application Center is a big plus

General Requirements:
* BS Computer Science or equivalent.
? 7+ years SW development experience and 3+ years in a related position.
* Excellent verbal and written communications ability.
* Prior successful customer interface experience.
? Previous background investigation (NAC)or clearance is a plus. Candidate must sucessfully pass a government background investigation.

Job Duties include:
*Architecting application deployment in an n-tier environment.
?Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Enterprise Applications.
?Create deployment plans, roll back plans, and other relevant documentation.
?Troubleshooting bottlenecks - Identifying the root causes of problem whether it is architecture, software or hardware.
?Perform Impact Analysis affecting users in deploying applications on the existing infrastructure using approved Change Management processes.
?Ensuring all tasks are recorded and completed in a professional and structured manner.
?Serve as a liaison between the Networking and Software teams and actively communicating architectural and deployment plans.
