Description
SOFTWARE TEST DESIGN ENGINEER to develop, enhance, and maintain a suite of system-level software that includes: test executives, rapid prototype development environments, manufacturing execution system interfaces, data collection and analysis tools, and instrument device drivers. In addition, the Engineer will be called upon to support the development of test instrumentation and functional test applications as needed.

The Engineer should have 10+ years of technical experience, including 7+ years of intensive experience with object-oriented analysis and design (UML, OMT, Booch or Rumbaugh), Object-Oriented programming (C++), PC-based operating systems (Windows Linux), GUI programming (Win, X-Win/Motif, Gnome, KDE), networking protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP), device driver development, database applications (Oracle, SQL), and configuration management tools (SourceSafe, ClearCase, PVCS). Highly desirable to have strong knowledge of hardware design with microcontrollers, FPGAs, embedded firmware development and debug, and telecommunications interfaces. Some experience with assembly language and web application development would be a plus. BSEE/BSCE degree required.
