Senior Software Test Engineer - Quality Assurance Test Engineer - Tester - Weather/Remote Sensing

We are a CMMI Level 3 company that delivers leading-edge information technology (IT), process improvement and advanced program management solutions for our Federal defense, civilian and commercial customers.

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Test Engineer, who has experience with automated test tools, Java and has worked in a Unix/Linux environment. If you have those skillsets and you are a US Citizen, please read on!

What you need:

- Must be a US Citizen
- Strong Linux/Unix background
- Java experience
- Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Ability to prepare and present reports and briefings both orally and written
- Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment
- Experience in performing subsystem test planning
- Experience with automated testing and test script development
- Experience with test verification requirements
- Experience preparing test procedures
- Experience conducting test procedures
- Experience with discrepancy report systems
- Experience preparing test schedules
- Experience preparing and presenting technical and readiness review data

Strongly Preferred:

- Testing of Weather/remote sensing
- Hydrology knowledge and experience

What you'll be doing:

- You will be responsible for creating program test cases and procedures, ensuring test cases and procedures meet program requirements, and assisting in or writing the final test report.
- You will participate in test readiness reviews and design reviews.
- Analysis of system-level requirements and managing changes as they affect test cases and procedures; development, tracking, monitoring of derived requirements; writing standard program test documentation; continuous support and interaction with teammates and with associate contractors in a coordinated team effort.
- Test Engineer will help perform test assignments involving definition of test and verification requirements; help establish methods and techniques, plan tests, develop test requirements, write test procedures and reports, and conduct tests; use a broad knowledge of test engineering and apply understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity
