HERE'S WHAT WE NEED-

Resolvit Resources is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a highly focused and professional software test team engaged in testing and quality assurance of embedded networking software solutions. Successful candidates will have specific knowledge of the internal operation of Ethernet switching and/or TCP/IP routing protocols. Test procedures require the test engineer to be able to configure the system under test, configure interoperating switches and routers, understand the details of how various network devices interact while protocols operate, obtain and analyze packet traces, and be able to determine whether the test case criteria are met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in test team activities including planning, tracking, reporting, and support of test cycles.
  • Engage in test case execution including defect documentation and tracking, resolution support, and fix verification.
  • Work closely with product development teams, including direct and detailed interaction with software engineering teams.
  • Develop test cases and plans for new functions and releases.
  • Develop test strategies and plans to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the team, including methods, tools and processes.

    Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a software testing environment.
  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to use own initiative, drive decisions and create direction.
  • Direct experience of working in a software test environment, preferably in embedded communications.
  • Proven track-record as a networking product tester.
  • Experience with testing design of complex software features.
  • Ability to apply an innovative approach to solve complex problems.
  • Knowledgeable of current industry network equipment testing practices.
  • Direct experience with networking products and protocols is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field is required
