Description
Our Eden Prairie client is seeking a Software Test Engineer (Manual QA Tester) for a full time position.Main Responsibilities and Duties:•Review functional and technical specifications to develop test plans and test cases.•Perform manual testing of ecommerce web sites and applications, including system testing & regression testing and documentation of results.•Contribute and adhere to the overall Quality Assurance best practices, strategy and methodology.•Demonstrate ownership of all assigned tasks and projects, delivering status updates to management and stakeholders regularly. Personal Profile:Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.•Ability to be proactive with all work assignments, identifying potential risks areas ahead of time to minimize impact to deadlines.•Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.•Flexible and willing to adjust to operational pressures, often at short-notice.•Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.•Good problem solving and analytical skills, showing a strong attention to detail.•Hard worker with a positive “can-do” attitude.•Ability to identify and raise issues and resolve them in a constructive manner.•Effective troubleshooting and risk analysis skills.Technical Profile:•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other technical area is required.•1-3+ years of previous software development or quality assurance experience required.•Demonstrated problem solving skills in a previous work environment.•Intermediate knowledge of SQL and familiarity with systems infrastructure.•Technical aptitude.•Strong PC skills (Word and Excel).•Practical e-commerce experience.•Previous experience with automated testing tools a plus.
