Software Test Manager - Build a Great Test Group!
My client, a St. Louis based company with a dynamic, complex, and multifaceted environment, is looking for a Software Test Manager.

SCOPE OF OPPORTUNITY
Provide direction, supervision, and technical guidance to the staff in the analysis, design, and execution of testing that is effective and efficient for each assigned project. This includes ensuring that test results are thoroughly and accurately documented, along with ensuring that a quality product is consistently deployed to production. Participate in the coordination of the scheduling and release of changes to the software enterprise. Ensure the quality of changes and related change management systems is maintained and continuously improved. Manage the team of testing resources aligned with all portfolio projects and application support. Works closely with the project team in reviewing and understands the system requirements and product specifications in order to implement effective testing strategies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of test coordinator and test analysts, responsible for performing testing activities supporting deployment of new systems, system and environment enhancements and upgrades, and defect resolution.
Manage the overall testing schedule to meet project timelines by prioritizing testing efforts and obtaining and assigning resources.
Oversee and assess test artifacts for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
Actively mentor and develop all team members in the establishment of a continuous quality improvement.
Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and standards with respect to testing activities.
Direct the planning, scheduling, and execution of project-level testing activities.
Establish testing strategies, processes, and standards.
Persuade staff to become a cohesive team with regards to strategies, processes and standards.
Collaborate with project management, production support, and software development teams to construct and maintain a schedule of changes to the software enterprise. Ensure changes meet quality and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance standards, and approve their release into the production environment.
Initiate data-driven continuous quality improvement in testing strategies for product being deployed.
Aggressively advocate and publicize the benefit of software and infrastructure testing activities to business users and information technology teams.
Collect and manage meaningful metrics that show a roadmap of process improvement and reduction of expense.df-tc


Experience/Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor-s degree.
6-8 years of business experience in Information Technology.
4-6 years of experience in software testing.
3-5 years of experience as an Administrative Manager (setting goals and deadlines, hiring and releasing people).
A solid background as a Test Analyst and with supervising employees.
A good understanding of Software Development Lifecycles, and how test activities become part of this lifecycle.
Statistical analysis skills and understanding of performance metrics.
Possess the ability to coordinate efforts with others both inside and out of the department.
