Challenging 6 month =
contract opportunity for a Software Tester! This state agency currently =
has a website that allows for basic searching capabilities. The right =
candidate will help to expand and improve the website to include new =
location based technologies (mapping). This new application MUST be =
thoroughly tested to make sure that it can handle a large number of =
concurrent users without degrading the system performance. It will also =
be important to estimate normal response time for an average use, and =
effectively diagnose bottlenecks and do performance tuning. The right =
candidate for this job must have the following required skills: =
Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life-Cycle from =
requirements, design, development, testing, to support; extensive =
education, QA/Test training, with 5+ years experience in software =
testing areas. Additionally must have hands-on knowledge and experience =
in developing test strategy, test plan, test cases, and test scripts for =
medium to large size product. The right candidate for this job will =
have 5+ years experience and expertise in use of Mercury test suite =
and have demonstrable recent experience in planning, designing, and =
performing stress, load and performance test without any help or =
support. Must be a self starter, team player, and must be willing to =
teach skills to agency's staff. Must be able to meet tight schedule. =
Absolutely must have a positive "can-do" attitude.df-tc
