Description
As a Software Tester you will develop and execute formal test plans based on the review of project specifications and release notes to ensure quality delivery of software applications. This will involve review and comprehension of functional requirements, including use case diagrams and use case specifications. From documented requirements, testers will be responsible for creation of a test strategy, test scenarios, test scripts, test scripts execution, analysis and reporting on test results, and reporting/tracking of defect resolution. This position also requires a thorough understanding of various testing methodologies and various tests such as functional, system, integration, load, and stress testing. Must also have the ability to effectively communicate with other functional areas including the business team responsible for writing the functional specifications and the development team

Experience/Skills
  • 2 yrs structured software testing, with min. of 1 yr system testing in a web environment
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of software development lifecycle, test lifecycle and different types of testing and interfacing with programmers
  • Writing test scripts from use cases is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge in the application of automated test tools including performance testing is also required with a preference for Mercury Interactive and Rational Test Manager
  • OO Development

    Other desired skills:
