Description

For this contract-to-hire position with a leader in business process and information technology services, you will ensure that all system enhancements adhere to company user interface standards and follow industry-wide leading practices for human-computer interaction.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Analyzing the effectiveness of existing interaction paradigms
  • Compiling and refining requirements into an actionable level of detail
  • Proposing the most appropriate approach for meeting requirements
  • Organizing, facilitating, and analyzing results of usability studies
  • Applying commonly accepted inquiry and testing approaches as a means of gathering and evaluating data (surveys, focus groups, benchmarking)
  • Defining, documenting, and evolving the standards for user interface design to modify and enhance the product set
  • Applying rapid prototyping techniques to validate proposed interaction schemes
  • Creating detailed specifications for approved projects

Experience/Skills

  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Proficiency in applying techniques for gathering and analyzing usability data for existing and future systems
  • Experience in user-interface designs for Internet based applications
  • Experience with business analysis for Internet based application architectures
  • Experience applying UML to solve system design problems (specifically in the areas of domain analysis, use case modeling, use case definition, and activity diagramming)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent customer facing and communication skills
  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • Development experience is a plus (Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0/3.0, ASP.NET, C# .NET, TSQL, HTML)
  • Knowledge of the e-learning industry is a plus (Learning Management Systems, Learning Content Management Systems)
  • Knowledge of reporting, eCommerce, and entitlement
