Description
Robert Half Technology has an immediate requirement for a QA Tester. This QA Tester position will perform hands-on software testing and ensure software quality. The successful candidate will have knowledge of software QA methodologies, a minimum of 2 years experience in testing GUIs, creating test cases from requirements, writing and executing test scripts as well as defect tracking. Strong technical writing skills and experience in a fast-paced environment are desired.

Experience/Skills
Required Skills for this QA Role are: 2+ years of software testing experience. Understanding of development life cycle. Read and understand Test Plans. Prepare test plans as required for some projects. Read, understand and follow test scripts. Must be able to help put together meaningful and complete test scripts based upon software flows and Test Plans. Take direction and then be able to work independently testing a product for flaws and digging into a problem until a reproducible set of steps for the root cause of a problem can be documented and handed off to development for fixing. Capable of handling the test process from planning through implementation for projects, leveraging team members where necessary. Excellent reasoning, analysis and problem solving skills and the ability to document ideas clearly and concisely Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Assets: Degree or certificate from recognized university or college, in discipline relevant to the position.
