Position Description
Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of 25 or more SUN Solaris servers and hosted business applications. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs capacity analysis and planning. Performs system and user troubleshooting, back-ups, and security functions. Accomplishes system installs/upgrades, as needed. Provides help desk assistance to users in accessing and using business systems. Documents trouble reports and corrective actions in REMEDY database.

Minimum Requirements:
5 years UNIX/Solaris system administration. Windows NT/2000 SA background helpful. Extensive knowledge and experience with Tivoli, HP OpenView, and Remedy. Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN communications. Secret/SSBI clearance.
