Description
My client has a need for a solid Solaris / LINUX Admin to join a team to complete a project. The project is to review existing infrastructure onsite in Medford to include all hw, os, sw, apps, security, etc and put together a road map to bring everything into PCI compliance. This is a 1-2 month contract position that could go longer and could possibly turn into a direct hire position. Salary is DOE.

Duties and responsibilities include:
1. Verify all UNIX system defaults (e.g., account names, passwords, SNMP Community Strings, etc. have been changed prior to production release.
2. Convert EIS ST12-IT - Enterprise Linux Security Standard - Final & EIS ST13-IT - Enterprise Solaris Security Standard - Final standards into server build scripts that are followed for all builds and signed off by the engineer that completes the build.
3. Provide the Security team with a comprehensive list of all UNIX devices and identify those used for eCommerce PCI data processes or storage.
4. Work with the Security team to initiate a UNIX based security script on all UNIX servers. Note: The Security script is in development and requires some assistance by the UNIX admins to review to ensure the script functions as designed. Once implemented, the script is designed to provide detailed reporting on system compliance.
5. Work with the UNIX team to retrieve requested information, such as security configurations, users, groups, passwords, etc.
6. Create a listing of all UNIX / LINUX servers running including O/S version.df-tc
