We have an immediate need for a Solaris Server System Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION
System Administrator to support, install, upgrade, configure and maintain Sun Solaris server systems up to and including Solaris 10 . Will maintain all operational aspects of the server environment to ensure its efficient operation. Provide support for customers with their server hosting needs. Duties include server performance monitoring/troubleshooting and reporting. Ensure that servers are in compliance with corporate guidelines, ISeC and are maintained in an audit ready state. Secondary role to provide Linux system administration in both intranet and internet environments. Software installation, system upgrades and patch installations on supported operating systems. Support Tivoli TSM, DNS, and network installation infrastructure. The successful Systems Administrator will have 5+ years experience working with SUN Solaris. He/she will also be experienced with Linux/Red Hat and/or AIX. Highly prefer experience with ID admin / reporting. Major Field of study: CS/CE, IS/IA or related degree Additionally, required to participate in on-call 24x7 rotational support schedule. LINUX skills a plus but only secondary to SUN.

Work locations: Richmond Virginia or Southbury Connecticut.
