Description
Looking for a Unix System Administrator strong communication and customer facing skills, the primary role of this individual will be daily administration of the Solaris Unix environment in Tucson,AZ

Candidate must have a strong background in Sun hardware and Solaris operating systems. Candidate should also have strong skills in Solaris 10 Zones/Containers, ZFS file systems. Red Hat Enterprise/Advanced Server 4 & 5, server performance tuning and server migrations.

Very strong commitment to work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong problem solving abilities.

Participation in a on-call rotation will be required.

Experience:

* Demonstrated experience with Solaris 9,10. Rad Hat Linux, NIS and LDAP

The ideal candidate will possess:
??? 3 years Linux (Red Hat preferred) and UNIX (Sun), experience in a medium to high complexity environments
??? Patching, Configuration Management and Configuration Control methodologies
??? Experience in implementing and documenting systems for production environments
??? Excellent troubleshooting skill and ability to understand complex relationships between components of the overall systems architecture
??? Solid knowledge of operating system internals, file system structures and machine architectures
??? Working experience with UNIX system administrator tools, UNIX shell scripts and at least one scripting language (e.g. Perl)
??? Ability to monitor, analyze, test and tune the operating system
??? Broad knowledge of networking and networking applications
??? Must be able to install and configure Solaris and Red Hat Linux.
??? Experience with SUN and HP hardware. Blade server experience would be a plus.df-tc
