GAIN Solutions Architect

Position Description: Looking for a Solution Architect to develop frameworks, tools, methods, and solutions to advance and support practice area growth. This individual will be recognized as the subject matter expert both internally and with customers developing complex ITO technical solutions as part of an overall solution framework and engagement team.



Responsibilities:

??? Translate client needs into specific technical requirements that are agreed upon contractually and with the line of business members ultimately responsible for operating them; Including conceptual services design, detailed costing, contractual statement of work, and SLAs.

??? Serve as the key interface to Service Delivery to assure solution acceptance.



Overall you will:

??? Establish a highly expert framework of competency within Microsoft skillset for backoffice computing.

??? Develop the tools and methods, and requirements to accurately assess risk, value, and architectural direction of opportunities and engagements within area of expertise or as directed by the Solution or Engagement Director.

??? Develop technical solutions in both pre-sales, and where appropriate, post sales initiatives.

??? Develop transition and migration strategies to complete the implementation of the designed solution.

??? Create and maintain vendor relationships to stay abreast of technology and maximize opportunities for utilizing these technologies and creating a competitive advantage.

??? Procure costing information and quotes as necessary for the technical solutions designed.

??? Contribute as necessary to presentations, RFPs, Statements of Work and customer presentations.

??? Educate and leverage expertise within a quote, coaching framework and quote; to other lines of business.



Key Relationships and Interfaces:

??? Team Mgmt - Daily opportunity-centric leadership will come from Engagement Directors and Solution Directors.

??? Team members of the solution and costing teams; you will be expected to provide opportunity-centric Subject Matter Expertise within your field of expertise.

??? Client Facing - Your Key Focus is developing credibility with clients in face-to-face situations.

??? Internal Service Delivery and Third Party Service Providers

??? Ensuring proposed architecture is consistent with corporate standards and delivery methods and processes or educating and creating new delivery methods when appropriate.



Qualifications:

??? 5 - 10 yrs in IT with a specialty in midrange servers (UNIX and Wintel)

??? Subject Matter Leadership; capability within the respective field of expertise.

??? Subject Matter Expert within the respective field of expertise such as:

o IT Transformation

o Data Center Architectures

o Networks

o Virtualization

o Optimization

o Storage Network

o Security

o Systems Integration

o Legacy



Education:

??? Bachelors degree with Technology Focus or equivalent work experience.
