PSC is currently looking for a TECHNICAL ARCHITECT to join our team in MECHANICSVILLE, VA.

Position Responsibilities:
  • This position will be the lead for infrastructure architecture including the assessment of new products and methods, developing and implementing appropriate IT Infrastructure practices across multiple operating systems, and selection of hardware platforms. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization on infrastructure architecture is critical. Responsibilities include:
  • Developing the technology for the next generation Medical Distribution Company by delivering technology and overall technical solution planning and execution of design process for all sales pursuit efforts to the business, to include infrastructure solutions,
  • Provide technical expertise to peers and associates on the overall infrastructure architecture as it relates to the IT and business strategies
  • Collaborating vertically with other Application Business Analyst(s) and various business units in pursuit of new business contracts
  • Interacting with the client to understand their business requirements and drivers, and
  • Aligning the client’s requirements and position Perot Systems to win new business engagements, leading infrastructure solutions development for various technologies and providing the vision and strategy to develop scalable, repeatable processes and solutions.
  • Assist in insuring that the infrastructure aligns with the overall enterprise architecture goals
  • Serve as the infrastructure architect technical lead in the assessment, analysis, and design phases of the IT related projects.
  • Provide leadership and direction through technical subject matter expertise.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the Infrastructure strategies that result in efficient and effective use of our Infrastructure information technology products and services
  • Coach and mentor peers and associates in the area of Infrastructure architecture.
  • Provide technical IT expertise to, and assist in, the selection of new hardware and software platforms which assists in attaining the enterprise architecture goals.

    Required Skills:
  • 7-10 years of planning network infrastructure,
  • Broad and deep infrastructure experience,
  • Experience working with large IT infrastructure related construction projects (networks, servers, and OS) and business case development,
  • Experience working with non-IT staff members,
  • Experience working with contractors and sub-contractors,
  • Experience with the SDLC and TCO process

    Desired Skills:
  • Enterprise Arch Strategy and Planning
  • Supply Chain Management & Logistics and/or Healthcare experience

    Educational Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in an area of Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field; or combination of related experience and education may be considered

    Minimum Certification:
  • MCSE & CCNA (or equivalent), CCIE (desired)
