Description
We currently have a need for a Solutions Director of HR Systems. This is a leadership position that will provide strategic development project direction, leadership and stewardship for design of the various existing and evolving HR systems, solutions and processes. The position will be responsible for developing and fostering key business stakeholder relationships within their product vertical (HR) maintaining frequent, high quality communications with the clients/stakeholders and all other affected individuals for the areas of responsibility and focus. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a long-term strategic road map for the product vertical under their responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • This position will have a primary focus on the delivery of Business Solutions across the HR Operational business units.
  • Serves as a primary liaison between the Business and the IS/IT organization. Emphasis on cultivating/fostering relationships and demonstrating a positive disposition of the IS department.
  • Provides project support for the development and implementation of technology solutions to enable or enhance complex business processes and functionality, application architecture and system integration.
  • Partners with other areas of IS/IT to implement technology strategies and systems ensuring compatibility with existing systems, standards compliance, and consistency with long term business needs, strategies and policies.
  • Involves creating High Level project, finance and resource plans and assisting the project execution teams to deliver on solutions/systems.
  • Involves thorough understanding of key technical architectures, operating systems, host platform software and hardware, and all supporting processes and integration dependencies.
  • Involves maintaining subject matter expertise in new and emerging solutions within the product vertical of focus (HR Systems)
  • Demands excellent program management, marketing, communication skills, along with a very strong combination of communication, technical, and project skills.
  • Knowledge of functionality, architecture and processes of a variety of new, existing and emerging business enabling technologies, systems and approaches that are (or may become) critical to executing business strategies.
  • Ability to persuade stakeholders, peers and management concerning strategic and technical direction and stewardship of critical initiatives.
  • Requires strong knowledge of project costing, control and management techniques, including development of funding, estimating and project plans and techniques for management of large, complex internal and external development efforts, sometimes several simultaneously.
  • Management of inter-relationships and inter-dependencies between multiple Products/Projects/Applications, and management of multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and information
  • Must be comfortable presenting in front of groups including senior management.
Experience

  • Minimum 10-15 years business experience, with 8 or more in Information Technology in the management and design of business systems and/or project management.
  • Experience in systems development project management / leadership required.
  • Experience in the development of business solutions, client relationship management, project leadership, systems analysis and design, change management, and user management, in an environment of multiple, complex, inter-related systems.
  • Experience within the casino and/or leisure industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, project/product development success, and strategic and tactical direction and results in a complex, fast moving technological and business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong consulting skills with the ability to advise and make recommendations regarding solutions.

    Experience/Skills
    Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field required or commensurate work experience.
