We have an immediate need for a Solutions Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
I. General Statement of Duties
The Solutions Engineering (SE) Engineer provides engineering services (SME)for existing Windows, Linux, UNIX, Wide Area Networking, Voice , Video and other technologies (hardware, operating system, infrastructure applications) as required, for Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO), in support of all Business investment efforts.

II. Distinguishing Features of the Class
The SE Engineer is responsible for developing new business project solutions. The Engineer performs the activities associated with evaluating, designing, testing, and implementing new technologies or configurations onto the clients production infrastructure. The Engineer tests, documents, and plans design standards within a technical framework developed in an architectural framework, partnering with cross functional IT groups, business customers and third party vendors, providing solutions supported in ETO.

III. Areas of Accountability (Use as many duty areas as required to fulfill job responsibilities).
Project Delivery (85%)
1. Develop Detailed System Requirements
2. Develop High-Level System Architecture
3. Design solution for the project
4. Document standards for the new solutions
5. Vendor Product Analysis
6. Capacity, Configuration and Release Management interface

Client Relationship (15%)
1. Technical Consulting
2. Project speculation
3. Risk analysis

V. Critical Occasional Duties
1. Perform planning role and requirements gathering at management discretion
2. Review and partner with enterprise/business architecture standards and policies
a. Improvement of existing solutions and/or introduction of new solutions
