Space Planning Specialist/Facilities Project Manager (Federal)



Manages and implements the division-wide leasing/office space program throughout the nation for a federal government agency.


provides regions with move and facility operating budgets used for planning and fiscal monitoring of expenditures;


coordinates move schedules and construction of building improvements;

coordinates bidding and installation of telecommunications and data systems

Plan and budgets, including all facilities related procurement activities

Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations on the cost effectiveness and quality of capital expansion and renovation projects.

Serve as expert space and forecasting resource planner; providing multiples schemes for functional and space programming, forecasting assistance; and development of site specific master plans which ensure long term strategic, business, operational, and space needs are met.

Supervise, review, coordinate the work of internal planners across the program.



Education

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in architectural planning, management or related fields. Masters Degree preferred.
Qualifications:

Significant experience (5- 10 years) with facilities operations, strategic planning, and project programming.
Significant experience in operations, space planning, master planning, and building technology.
Proficient in interpretation of architectural and engineering design, TQM, and computer modeling. Strong analytical/modeling, financial/statistical analysis skills required.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage and help balance multiple interests, and resolve conflicts.
Strong interpersonal and oral/written communications skills.
Travel will occur at least 25% of the timedf-tc
