Description
CDI Government Services needs a Spacecraft RF Communication Systems Engineer to perform spacecraft RF communication systems design, analysis, and implementation.

We need a person who is oriented more toward radio frequency (RF) systems engineering, preferably with a prior history of RF hardware development in free space RF communications links.

You will perform systems design, link analysis, hardware trade studies, technology tradeoffs, and costing for spacecraft design concepts.

Implement spacecraft communication systems by providing technical leadership over a team of engineers and support staff.

Support on-orbit operations and data trending on a part-time basis for near-Earth and deep space missions.

Support spacecraft proposal development.

Required:
BS degree in electrical engineering, (MS is highly desired) with 10 or more years of direct, hands-on experience with RF communication systems.

Experience in RF hardware design and/or testing.

Strong working knowledge of the principles of digital communication theory.

Excellent writing skills.

Demonstrated leadership traits such as strong technical capability, clear thinking, good interpersonal skills, effective communications skills.

Desired:
Experience with near Earth or deep space mission RF communication system development is highly desired.

A background in detailed RF hardware development is desired.

Experience in the NASA and/or DoD communities.

This long term assignment with our client is located in Howard County, Maryland and has potential for direct hire.
