Description
Identify and prevent fraudulent credit card activity in a card not present, retail environment.



Work specialized queues and reports daily, following process flows to ensure appropriate decisions are made according to risk decision making guidelines. Make outbound calls to banks, financial institutions, card issuers and credit card companies to validate customer information and/or verify charges when processes dictate such.

Provide superior customer service to customers by following appropriate call model and scripting.

Investigate suspicious accounts routed via reports or call from departments, specifically, Customer Service.

Assist the investigators as requested in preliminary investigations.
Assume additional duties as required by the Fraud Manager.

HS Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years in a similar position in banking or business production or call center environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word.

Ability to follow documented procedures.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Capable of taking initiative and making difficult decisions.

Capable of prioritizing and meeting deadlines.

Analytical skills, requiring the ability to do preliminary investigations.

Must have a basic understanding of credit card products and operations.

Professional demeanor in dealing with internal and external customers is essential.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and operate computer for extended periods of time. Ability to type and notate systemically using a keyboard and/or 10-key.

Preferred Requirements:

Associates or above degree preferred.

Experience working in credit card, fraud, retail loss prevention, banking and call center operations.

Computer: Experience in PASS, CliC, advanced MS Word, Excel and Access a plus.df-tc
