Description
Northrop Grumman IT has an urgent need for Senior Security Project Developers in Monterey, CA.

*US Citizenship Required
*Secret clearance required (ability to obtain a Top Secret)

Candidates analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems. Develops requirements, workflow and systems analysis. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

Establishes standards for development and maintenance of new and existing products. Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Lead a team that develops and sustains complex Unix and Linux-based systems, developing test and release protocols for both internal and external updates, developing and maintaining daily (weekly, monthly, etc.)procedures, etc., for these large, complex systems. You will also mentor colleagues and provide insightful direction to the Client as to overall architecture and direction for WEB-based applications and system development.

Posses an excellent command of high-end Linux/Unix kernel internals; complex system concepts and tools highly advantageous, especially experience in "systems of systems."

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science desired , Master's degree or equivalent experience (9 years with Bachelor's 7 years with Master's 4 years with Ph.D.)

Leadership experience in previous large/complex (and successful) Linux and Unix environments Position requires generating the codes that implement concepts; skills in JAVA, C, C++, Haskell, and other formal languages are desired. Skills dealing with Linux Beowulf cluster performance and robustness issues, TCP/IP behaviors and performance issues, current methods of detecting and preventing intrusions, etc.

Additional Qualities:
(1) Successful candidate will have a lead position and much of the responsibility of delivering product's) will fall to this person.
(2) Background in Linux systems tools, C, C++, and strong analytical skills.
(3) A proven track record of delivering complex [and successful] Unix and Linux-based software applications.
(4) Strong linux/unix skills [e.g., kernel crash dump analysis], RedHat Linux knowledge of Windows internals experience a plus.
(5) Proven ability to lead teams and interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations
