Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Senior .NET Developer for a full-time, long term contract position in a North West suburb of Chicago.
The Senior .NET Developer will play an active role as part of a large internal development team, working on global, mission critical, online applications. Scope of responsibilities to include:

Providing architectural strategy based on technology and business vision
Working with other engineers, developers, architects, QA, system engineers, and product managers to solve new and existing technical issues
Understanding requirements, implementing designs, and providing administration tools and documentation for specific projects
Participating in Design and Code Reviews
Performing hands on coding directly
Required/Preferred Skills:

7 plus years of direct experience in .NET (C# preferred) and other Microsoft technologies
Strong experience in design patterns, standards and procedures
In-depth knowledge of .NET 3.5 framework (WCF/WPF/WWF)
Working experience in XML/XSLT, Web Services, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL Server, BizTalk Server and Team Foundation Server
Expertise in Agile software development using SCRUM techniques
Experience in all aspects of the software lifecycle including design, development and testing
Demonstrated experience in large scale enterprise architecture and high transaction volume applications
