Description
Develop and maintain one or more business application delivery and maintenance processes used to meet the organizations on-going information needs. Manage work assignments and priorities for all direct reports. Develop technical skills among direct reports to design, develop and maintain SAP software, install, configure and maintain SAP software and design, develop and maintain interfaces between systems. Deliver in a manner that produces value-adding, timely and cost effective results.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for the Sr. SAP ABAP Programmers will include:
Deliver high-quality code that meet business needs on a timely basis. Work with the Application Architecture, Data Architecture, IPM, and Client Support groups to design solutions that fit within the established architecture guidelines. In conjunction with the Information Portfolio Management group, ensure the completion of ABAP programming deliverables, ensuring that they are coordinated with and meet the requirements of SAP business users. Manage technically complex assignments.
Assist with the development of and deliver on ABAP programming methodologies and identify and implement improvement plans where appropriate. Manage the requests in SAP that require programming resources. Own the resolution of problems as it pertains to assigned ABAP programming. Work with the Client Support group to continuously reduce the number of support issues and improve client satisfaction.
In conjunction with Information Portfolio Management, prioritize requests and complete requests. Working with other Business Application Delivery resources, plan and manage capacity in the short and long term, ensuring that the appropriate mix of resource skills are maintained and that the highest value activities receive priority.

Experience/Skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required. Masters degree is a plus
Must have proven experienced in SAP version 4.6 and above
Must be able to understand and translate business processes into effective ABAP code.
Must have at least 7 years experience in hands-on ABAP code development.
Must have 5-7 years of implementation and support experience
Must have experience in ABAP design
Able to manage many large and small projects and maintenance needs simultaneously and in an organized and results-oriented manner.
Proven ABAP programming experience in the areas of developing SAP RFCs/BAPIs/IDocs and SAP Workflow.
Strong SAP ABAP Objects Development skills.
In-depth understanding of interfaces to / from SAP and other system environments using XI is a big plus.
Excellent knowledge needed of ALE, ALV, and Interfaces Development in the MM/SD/FI/CO modules.
Workflow and Smart Form experience a big plus.
SAP Business Connector skills a big plus.
Portals experience is a big plus.
