GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for sales of Molding Compounds with a primary focus on the Electrical/Telecommunications Markets. Emphasis will be on large account management and will include responsibility for all aspects of the business relationship. Accountability will center on margin and relationship building but will include forecasting, achievement of sales objectives and directing activities across functional groups supporting the account goals. It will include OEM and custom molder coverage where specific linkages exist in support of designated applications. Formal account plans will be established and executed. Expectations include the ability to sell at all levels of Management and building relationships that ensure PolyOne will continue to get first and last look at all vinyl opportunities. Willingness to travel a must. Ability to function independently along with having good technical skills is also required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Establish Formal Account Plans and Execute
-Develop Contact Matrix and Establish Strong Relationships with Key Decision Makers and Project Facilitators.
-Establish, track and close new business targets consistent with long term growth objectives at designated accounts.
-Implement marketing programs and provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities and/or issues pertinent to both short and long term objectives.
-Market development activities.
-Develop, execute and manage sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets.
-Negotiate Pricing and Contracts as needed.
-Deliver the planned results (AOP).
-Routine utilization of Sales Tools (Opportunity Scorecards, Sales Funnel, Account Plans, Business Reviews, etc.).
-Adoption of Customer Centric Selling Skills

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Bachelors Degree in business or technical discipline.
-Ability to develop comprehensive relationships at all levels, including executive levels, and exploit such relationships in ways that benefit PolyOne.
-Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
-Professional presence.
-Broad knowledge of Vinyl Compounds. Knowledge of other polymers (including those that compete with vinyl in molding applications) preferred.
-Self motivated and effective at working independently.
-Team player
-Leadership ability to lead cross functional team in support of account objectives.
-Good presentation skills.

-Ability to function in complex business environment.

Required Length & Type of Experience:
-Strong selling skills supported by 5 - 7 years proven track record
