Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures and/or triggers.

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of database structures from a logical and physical standpoint. Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for Oracle, SQL Server and/or Progress. Understanding of data modeling tools such as Erwin and Rational Rose. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. Ability to implement Oracle Financials in a global environment

MIN EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
BS degree with major related to Computer Science OR equivalent combination of education / experience.

Two years experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and/or Progressdf-tc
