Requirements for this System Administration Role:

Dimension & Scope
Ensure the availability and integrity of multiple applications in heterogeneous environments to meet service level agreements. Install, configure, tune, troubleshoot, test, deploy and monitor critical applications. Document processes, procedures, standards and guidelines for administration of applications. Responsible for tier 2 primary support of all production impacting issues not handled by other teams.

Primary Responsibilities
1.Initial setup, configuration and tuning of applications
2.Deployment of applications per Release Management and Change Control
3.Configuration and tuning of all application dependency
4.Installation and upgrading system administration tools
5.Configuration of OS level group authorization and file/directory permissions
6.Active production monitoring and performance analysis
7.Configuration of passive monitoring
8.Configuration and tuning of the operating system
9.Member of Change Control Board for applications
10. Default assignment group for tier 2 application issues
11.Resolve all production impacting issues not covered by other team's responsibilities
12.Provide Service Desk with documentation on how to deal with level 1 support and routing of issues
13.Route assigned issues to appropriate teams to resolve problems or
14.First page-out group for application specific Operations alerts
15.Responsible for resolution of application issues which overlap multiple Team Responsibility areas
16.Properly escalate production impacting issues according to procedure
17.Monitor performance tests in coordination with development team (and Quality Assurance Team if they exist) in the standby or testing environments
18.Create metrics and baselines from the performance tests to provide analysis and reports to stakeholders
19.Document processes, procedures, standards and guidelines for administration of applications
20.Create and walk-through disaster recovery plans for systems and applications under SA Team control
21.Perform disaster recovery exercises and actual disaster recovery efforts if initiated by management
22.Perform all tasks necessary to ensure the availability and integrity of applications under SA Team controldf-tc
