  • Woodland Hills, California, United StatesJob Description:Under general direction, designs, implements and maintains complex application systems built on JEE technology. The successful candidate excels in application architecture and design, problem solving skills, strategic thinking, and working in a team oriented environment. Collaborates with technical and business resources, gathers and documents requirements, formulates action plans, and provides direction for other technical resources. Strong oral and written communication skills are required as well as strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented environment. Works with other software engineers and DBAs to diagnose database performance issues and implement solutions. Candidate must be competent to work at the highest level of all phases of software engineering.*
  • Four or more years of JEE experience.*
  • Six years of IT experience. *
  • Excellent technical analytical and problem solving skills.*
  • Design and estimation.*
  • Java, JEE, SQL, Eclipse, Struts, MVC, EJB, XML, JSP, JDBC.*
  • Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate/JPA).*
  • JEE Design patterns.*
  • High complexity enterprise applications.*
  • Ability to work under pressure when needed.*
  • Change management/version control systems.*
  • Application development experience on large RDBMS based business applications.*
  • Application development lifecycle phases including design, development, testing, production.*
  • Ability to manage and coordinate work flow and handle multiple assignments.*
  • Must be detail-oriented and thorough.*
  • Team player willing to jump in and lend a hand where needed.*
  • Candidate must have flexibility regarding work hours, and must be able to occasionally work late and perform off-hour duties during critical project periods. Preferred Skills*
  • Insurance experience with workers compensation policy and claims a plus (other financial experience also a plus)*
