Description
This senior-level professional is a seasoned individual who applies an advanced, in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures to production systems. Incumbents are fully competent to work on complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support activities. The incumbent may act as a member of quick-response user-support team and will often work under demanding deadlines, operating independently to resolve complex end-user problems. Errors will likely cause visible delay, expense and/or disruption to the end-user. May act as a functional/team leader. Individuals must be able to use mature judgment in assigning personnel without causing unnecessary delay to client.

Responsibilities:
* Reviews and evaluates software and technologies proposed for the production environment.
* Provides recommendations/solutions to surveys conducted to determine user needs.
* Analyzes performance data and recommends hardware or software for purchase.
* Assists users to identify and solve problems impacting the use of applications.
* Maintains procedures for installation, use, and maintenance of applications.
* Responsibilities may encompass: operating systems, hardware and software technical support analysis, communications and network systems analysis, configuration management, data security analysis, support for software quality assurance and testing, office automation, information systems auditing, production control analysis, and technical library support.
* May assist others during technical presentations to ACS management and/or clients.
* Responsible for configuration of all environments to each application's specific requirement, proactively performances tunes each environment as well as reactively troubleshoot problems that occur.
* Oversees staff in the monitoring of computer program performance to detect errors; applies testing procedures/methodologies (e.g., diagnostic software) and provides interpretation of data.
* Provides input during client strategic planning as required as part of technical expertise.
* Provides guidance to and assist in the training of less experienced staff; provides hardware/software training as required.
* Will participate in production release activities conducted at night and on weekends.df-tc
