Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment Global Operations is seeking a Senior Business Analyst(Requisition ID 173432)

Position Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst holds a key role in the industry intelligence/ finance team.This person is responsible for industry reporting and report development, which includes data management and analysis, to help WDSHE make informed business decisions.The business intelligence position is a combination of technical, tactical, and analytical responsibilities.The position fulfills mid to long term development projects in conjunction with short-term reporting and analysis requests.This role provides opportunities for continuous improvement and learning within an integrated organization that releases titles on multiple formats and distribution platforms, including Blu-ray and Electronic-Distribution.

Responsibilities:
- As a key technical person on the business intelligence team, develop advanced reports and dashboards with Microstrategy (or similar reporting software) to help guide company decision making
- Upgrade and streamline reports in excel with advanced functions and data manipulation to meet internal customer needs
- Design and build custom metrics and tools to maximize the capabilities of reporting software
- Help maintain the movie titles database, including updating assumptions, ensuring data integrity, and evaluating datasets
- Execute special and/or reoccurring projects that may involve integrating, manipulating, and presenting data in excel
- Implement the department’s continuous improvement initiatives to drive results, enhance data systems, and organize/ document projects
- Communicate and train team members on new processes, results, and learnings
- Deliver on short-term movie title requests for various internal stakeholders
- Report and analyze industry trends to help drive business insight
- Prepare presentation support material for finance, sales, marketing, and senior management, including charts and graphs in PowerPoint and Microstrategy

Basic Qualifications:

· BA or BS degree
· At least 3 years experience in a report building, reporting, data analysis, software, or business support function
· At least 1 year experience with Microstrategy, Cognos, Business Objects, or other reporting software
