PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Senior Business Systems Analyst defines initiatives and requirements, researches, recommends and implements solutions for difficult and complex business problems and plays a major role in the development and implementation of major systems. Focus is on problems and opportunities in multiple business units in support of business goals.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

*Gathers and analyzes business requirements and interprets business needs and issues in order to offer technical solutions that solve the business problem(s).

*Uses advanced oral and written communication skills to make technical and non-technical material understandable to business units. Develops project documentation including formal proposals, feasibility studies, schedules, requirements studies, design documents, and testing plans according to standard system development lifecycle methodologies. Makes frequent presentations to management and other personnel. Plans and conducts meetings.

*Develops and monitors work plans to complete tasks necessary to solve a business problem. Assumes responsibility for the resolution of system and process issues and works with the appropriate technical and subject matter experts to provide a solution.

*System tests the solution/application to ensure user requirements captured during the analysis are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

*College degree and two years of related work experience, or a minimum of 6 years related work experience
*High level analytical and problem solving skills
*Experience with process reengineering
*Knowledge of testing concepts and skilled in formulating test strategies, managing and executing testing
*Ability to conduct cost benefit analysis
*Familiarity of the business processes
*Interpersonal skills
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Negotiation skills
*Process oriented
*Major systems development and implementation experience
*Experience with project management and control
*Proficient in SQL

Preferred Skills

*RPS business knowledge
*4 years relevant experience working with Systems Lifecycle Development methodology
*Knowledge of Omniplus
*Understanding of basic Investment Management principlesdf-tc
