LOCAL candidates only.Fortune 500 client is looking for Buyer ASAP at their Rohernt Parkimmediately.Please send your resume in MS Word format with job# PDM6973022CA in the subject of the email.*** Job Responsibilities ***1) The Buyer/Planner will coordinate and manage purchases of finished good product from contract manufacturing sources. Coordinates all activities related to procurement of assigned commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. 2) Process purchase orders and administration of Contract Manufacturer supply base to ensure on time delivery of telecom electro/mechanical products (cabinets, shelves, cables, back up batteries, fans, protections panels, etc),. 3) Work with terms and conditions, evaluate supplier's bids and proposals, perform cost and price analysis, conducting fact finding, and negotiate with suppliers. 4) Create purchase orders and maintain inventory at optimal levels assuring availability of materials to meet production schedules. 5) Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets quality standards of the company. 6) Maintains timely control of orders, amendments including engineering change orders (ECOs), shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.7) Improve manufacturing deliverables by meeting production schedules, improve on-time delivery, reduce inventory and reduce waste. 8) Responsible for basic data information on assigned parts/commodity. ----------Required Experience, background and education: --------a) 5 years of purchasing experience covering the job aspects listed above b) Degree or equivalent in purchasing, materials management or related degree c) Experience with procurement of telecom electro-mechanical commodities d) Experience with Oracle 11i strongly preferrede) Limited travel Personal characteristics, skills and strengths:f) Organized and a team leader, able to lead cross-departmental groups g) Motivated and self-starter h) Experience and able to apply this background to todays problems immediately i) Excellent written and communication skillsYou may apply directly with ?id=4113638df-tc
